Arcee AI's NAC v0.1.4 makes cancellation depend on confirmed cleanup. Its release notes say Stop waits for model, tool, worker, remote-tool and command activity to end before marking a run cancelled. If cleanup cannot be confirmed, the run is marked failed. That gives cancellation a concrete operational meaning: the interface should not report a stopped run while its underlying work continues.
