A smaller FLUX.2 decoder trades minimal quality for 1.4x speed

Black Forest Labs offers a smaller replacement for FLUX.2's decoder, the component that converts the model's internal image representation into the finished image. Its model card reports roughly 1.4 times faster decoding and lower graphics-memory use, with minimal quality loss. The encoder stays unchanged. This targets a specific bottleneck: producing larger images when decoding would otherwise exhaust available memory. The speed figure describes that stage, so it should not be read as a 1.4-fold improvement in the entire generation process.
