Google DeepMind released Gemini 3.8 Flash, which it described as its most intelligent model yet with gains over 3.7 Flash in software engineering, agentic tasks and multi-step reasoning, rolling out through Antigravity, the Gemini API in AI Studio and Android Studio, and to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search.
Alongside it, Google released Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, which it described as its most capable cybersecurity model, built for finding vulnerabilities and applying automated patches. Access to Cyber runs through a new Fairwind Program limited to governments and other trusted partners working on national security and critical infrastructure, rather than being available through the standard API.
