Context
The FLUX Pro API lets creators teach an image model a particular subject or visual style using their own example images. Black Forest Labs' January 2025 release article describes training a customized version of FLUX Pro, then using text prompts to place the learned content into new images.
This addresses a specific limitation of prompting: a model may have little knowledge of a particular product, person or brand appearance. The examples provide that visual reference during training, so later prompts can work with the customized model when generating new compositions.
