Peter Yang's hands-on video explains why he calls Claude Duet, Anthropic's new personal , the most proactive he has tested. Out of the box, Duet has a scheduled check-in task. According to the task history he shows, it runs every three hours from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. He says he assumes it scans his email, calendar and connected apps for work it can take on. One check-in he reads out flags a sponsorship deal, a video waiting to launch and a podcast recording to prepare for. He finds five check-ins a day too many and notes that the schedule can be changed. Duet is a separate app with its own interface on Claude web. It reuses the connections already on his Claude account, and on its first run it read his email and calendar and suggested tasks. Each task runs as its own thread in a side panel, and scheduled jobs, upcoming items and resolved tasks sit in their own folders.
Most of the video covers what Duet produced with built-in skills and short prompts. It made a styled morning brief and a guide to his writing style, built from his sent emails, Slack messages and documents. It also made an email-triage view that drafts replies for him to edit before sending. He says a one-line request produced a dashboard of insights about a year of his YouTube videos, and he showed a sponsor-revenue dashboard filled with mock data.
The main weakness he hit was the browser. Duet ships with an Uber booking , but Uber asked its browser for a human-verification check, and Yang could find nowhere in the app to see or take over that browser. He also could not add skills from his own computer. He notes that Duet is a research preview with a waitlist for Pro and Max subscribers. In his ranking post he still puts Grok Bot first, then Muse, Claude Duet and ChatGPT Dots. That is one reviewer's early-access comparison, not a . This summary is based on the video's caption transcript. The X post's own clip could not be retrieved, and nothing shown only on screen was available.
