Newton is an open-source, GPU-accelerated physics engine for robotics simulation, co-founded by NVIDIA, Google DeepMind, and Disney Research and hosted under the Linux Foundation. Built on NVIDIA Warp and announced in March 2025, it provides differentiable physics capabilities designed to help researchers bridge the simulation-to-reality gap — enabling robotic systems to develop physical intelligence in simulated environments before real-world deployment.
