Ox Alpha = GLM-5.3 Flash AA = 57 , 1/100 frontier price, Powered by pure Chinese chips. Delivered nearly 20% weekly token share (no. 1) on OpenRouter. Thanks to all for the support.

Context

Z.ai says its GLM-5.3 Flash model briefly became the most-used model on OpenRouter, a marketplace that routes API requests across many providers, capturing close to a fifth of the platform's weekly volume while scoring 57 on Artificial Analysis's Intelligence Index at roughly one-hundredth the price of frontier closed models. Jie Tang's post ties the achievement to the model running on domestic Chinese accelerators, which SemiAnalysis independently confirmed after unmasking the model's earlier codename, Ox Alpha.

The 'nearly 20 percent' token-share figure is Z.ai's own claim; OpenRouter does not publish a historical leaderboard snapshot to check it against independently. What is externally verifiable is the pricing and position: Artificial Analysis separately scored GLM-5.3 Flash at 57, placing it on the intelligence-per-dollar Pareto frontier at a fraction of the cost of the larger GLM-5.3 model.
