Context

An can launch several tasks in parallel and still spend much of its time waiting for steps that must finish in order. NVIDIA's Vera CPU article describes this pattern in telemetry from 163,594 agent sessions: long dependency chains interrupted by bursts of concurrent work.

That pattern explains the company's design argument for Vera. Fast individual CPU threads help the sequential steps finish sooner, while enough concurrent threads accommodate temporary bursts of tool execution. NVIDIA argues that the useful target is completed user sessions, because adding cores alone does little for a step that cannot begin until its predecessor finishes.
