Context

Vercel added Z.ai's GLM-5.3 to AI Gateway, making it a model choice within the gateway's shared API. Applications select it with the identifier zai/glm-5.3. The announcement also describes connecting coding agents to the gateway and choosing that model there. Release details.

The integration places model access alongside the gateway's usage tracking, budgets and retry and failover configuration. That is the concrete deployment change: a team can evaluate GLM-5.3 through the same service it uses to manage other model calls. The announcement's performance comparisons remain vendor claims, separate from this integration capability. Gateway workflow.
