The first open-weights model from @AIatMeta Superintelligence Labs, Muse Glimmer is live on OpenRouter! It's a 30B dense text+image model with an Apache 2.0 license, built to be a reliable local agent w/ scores of 75.5 MCP Atlas and 51.2 SWE-Bench Pro. https://t.co/LT4IDBFTKB

Launched earlier this week, Muse Glimmer is offered via ZDR providers at high token throughput.

Context

Meta's Muse Glimmer is designed to put an 's text and image processing on a user's own hardware. Its model card describes a roughly 30-billion-parameter model and compressed releases targeting 24 GB and 32 GB of GPU memory. It accepts images alongside text, allowing screenshots and documents to inform the agent's work. The released artifacts use the Apache 2.0 license.

OpenRouter's availability announcement adds a hosted way to try the model. That is a different deployment choice from downloading its weights: using the hosted endpoint does not make the processing local.

  • AI agent — An AI system that doesn't just answer once but works toward a goal in a loop — taking actions, reading the results, and deciding what to do next.
  • MCP — The Model Context Protocol — an open standard that lets any AI assistant plug into any tool or data source without custom integration code.
  • SWE-bench — The standard benchmark for AI coding agents: real GitHub issues from real repositories, scored by whether the agent's patch passes the project's own tests.
