Context

Vercel's changelog says the Microsoft Teams adapter for its Chat SDK now supports reactions and ephemeral messages through the same API as the SDK's other adapters. Bots can add and remove reactions on Teams messages, and can call thread.postEphemeral() or channel.postEphemeral() to send what the changelog calls native, targeted messages that only the intended user sees, with a permission prompt as its example. An ephemeral message is one shown to a single person in a shared conversation.

The changelog's own code example passes a fallbackToDM option, which points to a direct-message path alongside the in-conversation message. The changelog does not say when that fallback applies, so how a given Teams user actually receives such a message is not established by this source and should be confirmed in the SDK documentation or by testing before relying on privacy in a group chat.
