Runway Dev lets developers express how they want a media model selected for a request. Its router first excludes models that cannot meet required capabilities, provider restrictions or a price cap. It then scores the remaining options against preferences for cost, quality and response time. A developer can reuse different configurations for a quick preview and a final export without naming a model in each request. The platform announcement says responses also identify which model was selected and why.
