Runway's Media Router picks media models from a stated preference

Runway's Media Router lets an application choose media models through a reusable policy. A developer sets a spending ceiling, permitted models and preferences for cost, quality or response time. For each request, the router first excludes models that cannot meet the requirements, then ranks the remaining options against those preferences. Launch explanation.

The application sends its request with the policy's identifier instead of selecting a model itself. Runway says the response identifies which model was used and why; if no model satisfies the constraints, the router returns an error. This moves recurring model selection into an explicit configuration that a team can inspect and adjust.
