Runway's Media Router lets an application request generated media using a saved selection policy instead of naming a model each time. The router first excludes models that cannot meet capability requirements, provider restrictions or price limits. It then ranks the remaining options using the application's preferences for cost, quality and waiting time. According to the announcement, a request with no eligible model returns an error identifying the blocking constraint. This makes automatic model selection operate within the team's declared limits.
