Anthropic's announced Enterprise Frontier Safeguards lets customers retain activity records in infrastructure they control while automated systems look for misuse across interactions. Customer teams receive suspicious-activity flags and can handle human review themselves. That arrangement addresses a specific tension: detecting an attack spread across sessions requires history, while sensitive organizations may need custody of those records. Customer-owned storage, customer-managed encryption keys and fully automated review are individually optional controls. The September 1, 2026 announcement described a phased rollout planned for later that fall. Design and rollout account.
