Context

Z.ai introduced AutoClaw as a downloadable way to run the OpenClaw locally without first supplying an API key. That addresses installation and account setup, but its broad claim that data never leaves the machine needs qualification. The March 30 announcement makes that claim; the current desktop requirements say model calls require internet access, and the privacy policy describes collecting conversation content submitted to the service. Local agent execution therefore does not establish that every model request is processed entirely on the user's computer.
