Context
OpenAI's July 9 launch paired task execution with a place to use and share the results. The new ChatGPT desktop app brought Chat, Work and Codex together, while Work could operate across local files and apps. The launch article presents Sites, which turn information into interactive sites or web apps, as part of the same release.
Sites had an earlier June preview limited to Business and Enterprise workspaces. Including them in the desktop-app launch made a website or lightweight app one possible output of an -assisted project, alongside documents and spreadsheets.
