Claude Science is designed to let researchers inspect how an AI-generated figure was made. In its June 30, 2026 announcement, Anthropic says the workbench attaches the exact generating code and environment, a plain-language description and the full message history to each figure. Keeping that record alongside the output gives scientists material they can examine and rerun, which is more useful for evaluating an analysis than receiving a finished chart without its method.
