ARC Prize Foundation is a US-based nonprofit that advances open artificial general intelligence (AGI) research through benchmarks and competitions, most notably the ARC-AGI series of tests for fluid intelligence and skill-acquisition efficiency. It was founded in 2024 by François Chollet (creator of the Keras deep learning library) and Mike Knoop (co-founder of Zapier), who launched the original $1M ARC Prize competition that year before formalizing the organization as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2025 under CEO Greg Kamradt, a former Salesforce engineering director.
