GPT-6 Astra reaches Perplexity Computer for paid subscribers

Perplexity Computer, the company's agentic product that browses the web and completes multi-step tasks on a user's behalf, now offers GPT-6 Astra, OpenAI's newest model, to Pro and Max subscribers, per Perplexity's post.

OpenAI had already made GPT-6 Astra broadly available to its own Pro, Enterprise and Business Premium customers and via its API hours earlier (background: OpenAI's own GA announcement), so this update is Perplexity adding an outside lab's already-released model as an option inside its own product, not a new model launch. Perplexity has done this before, having earlier added Claude Fable 5 as a selectable orchestrator model in Computer (related update).
