Grok 4.5 is now available as an orchestrator model in Computer for Consumer Pro and Max subscribers. We evaluated it against five other orchestrator configurations on WANDR. It scored higher than every other configuration at roughly half the cost of Opus 4.8.
Context
Perplexity added Grok 4.5 as a Computer orchestrator option for consumer Pro and Max subscribers. In its July 10 , that configuration scored 0.328 on WANDR at $4.76 per scored trial, compared with 0.254 and $9.46 for Opus 4.8 with high reasoning and thinking enabled. The comparison supports both a higher research score and roughly half the trial cost for Grok under the tested settings. These are costs for the evaluated runs, rather than a subscription price.
